Pub stops

One of the drags about Endomondo is that there is no “cycling-fun” category.  So when I log a ride other than getting myself to and from work or the shops, I am forced to log it as “cycling-sport”. I don’t have a road bike but I do like to get my old 2nd hand mountain bike out on the back roads and soak up the scenery as well as finding a sustenance/coffee stop along the way.

Today was perfect-24C (75F) with a cooling nor-easter breeze. I planned the route to stop about halfway through the ride but the Butchers Arms rumoured to do a mean coffee. Closed! So I made my way back home, stopping to take pics and ended up at my local to reward myself with a coffee and millionaire shortcake.

It may not seem a lot to some but averaging 2.34min per km over 30 km is pretty good in my world. And I didnt even go out to bust any records. Next week if its just as good out there, The Fox & Hounds in Clavering is apparently worth a visit for cyclists…
