The knee

So my X rays came back and yep, no osteo arthritis so I’m now waiting for an MRI scan. As I’m “quite a sporty chap” according to my GP, it’s probable that I’ve got a soft tissue injury in there somewhere. NO, REALLY doc?!! I was offered a scan back in May but decided on the physio route so you could say that I’ve contributed to this delay. ..

Anyway, 2 days ago I re-read this blog post about seat height and sore ham strings & decided to apply the same theory to my knee joints. I’m not saying that raising the seat post worked but after 2 rides 2 days running, the knee is no worse and feels comfortable enough to get back into it regularly. Now that the cricket season is sadly over I’m all set to pick up my journeys to work before it gets too cold/dark.

So roll on Friday and behave yourself Pomgolian weather! And thanks bgddyjim you’re keeping me on my target to be <95kg by Christmas and was tempted to take the lazy/easy route & stop altogether instead of looking at ways to keep going while listening to my body
