It finally summer-again! This morning at 6 it was 22 degrees and forecast to get hot later. There’s a nice breeze and although I’ve been riding into it, today it’s welcome! I didn’t even come across any cars for the 1st 10km.
I’m now enjoying a mid ride coffee in advance of another busy end of week at work before our camping trip up to the Lake District. Looking forward to this trip is all that’s keeping me sane at work and even then complete mental disintegration is just a thoughtless comment/email/request to do more of someone else’s job away…yesterday I was unfortunate enough to be blocked in the car park by 2 people who having left their phone number in the dashboard had heir phones switched off. I blew up internally and left a few choice words on their voicemail before hauling them out of teaching to let me out. One of them was an Audi-no surprises there but today this won’t be a problem, one of the many benefits of cycling to work. I’m anticipating a meeting this morning that will test my patience so I must remember to remind myself of my happy place climbing a hill somewhere up north.
Yes, the bikes are coming with us so there will be lots of hill climbing that hopefully won’t dampen the boys’ new found enthusiasm for 2 wheeled adventure.
Happy riding everyone.
