Yay!!! Day off and sleep in. Except that we decided the evening before that our elderly cat needed to see the vet for his worsening arthritis. The pain killer hasn’t been working well and given his age of 18 years, probable dementia and near blindness we feared that this may be the end of the road. But no, the vet decided to give us some tramadol and see how he goes. If the poor old bugger spends the rest of his days relatively pain free, that’s the best that we can hope for.
We all went out with the dog for a walk, which apart from a couple of bickering boys was a treat. Something that have come to treasure is our family time when we get it right now as all of our lives have changed. I really wish that I could spend more time with the boys and when I do it was quality time instead of feeling constantly knackered. I decided to spend the rest of the afternoon having a post lunch nap and watching cricket on YouTube.
My 18th day of 30 DOB in April ride was an errand up to the shop and I passed the bluebell glade nearby at/near its colourful peak. I got down the bank to take some closer pics with my phone.
Then it was home for pie and mash washed down with ale followed by a family game of Scrabble. I partnered master12-we smashed it and won by 50.
