I had a day off in lieu of yesterdays work day. It was spent working from home, watching cricket matches from the 1980s on YouTube and waiting for the rain to stop. I got lucky and had a dry 45 minute window to take the dog for a walk before riding up to the shop to get some lettuce for salad.
The ride was in a misty drizzle which is what is termed light rain in the UK. Damp, cold but necessary for the 30 days of biking in April challenge. If it wasn’t for this, I would have watched the 4th match of the B&H WSC final which nearly 40 years ago was a disappointment. Thanks 30DOB, you saved me.
It seems that the death toll, as suspected is more than is reported. The daily deaths that I have been reporting at the end of these posts are only those recorded in hospitals-there are far more in the community. Some worrying stats are produced here which tells you just how bad the situation is in the UK.
Total UK hospital deaths (multiply by 2 to get the probable true figure) : 21,678 (586)
